Motors.co.uk launches 'Search Less. Live More.' television campaign

  • Campaign timed to help build online sales enquiries now and test drive leads for retailers as they look ahead to reopening in April
  • Television advertising on ITV, Sky and Channel 4
  • Multimedia activity also across video on demand, digital and display

22 March 2021: Motors.co.uk launches its new 'Search Less. Live More.' multimedia advertising campaign tonight across ITV, Sky and Channel 4, as part of eBay Motors Group's multi-million-pound marketing support for dealers to help build online sales enquiries now and test drive leads ahead of car showrooms reopening in April.

The campaign marks Motors.co.uk's return to national television with a series of four commercials, supported by activity across video on demand (VOD), digital and display, also starting from today.

The campaign positions Motors.co.uk as the search website that empowers buyers by helping them find the ideal car for their needs, as simply as possible.

"As we edge closer to regaining our freedoms after this latest lockdown, the creative narrative in this campaign takes on an added significance, with the right car having a positive, practical and emotional impact on so many facets of our lives," said Dermot Kelleher, head of marketing and research at eBay Motors Group.

"We've been really encouraged over the past few months by strong trading reports from many retailers who have successfully pivoted into click-and-collect and click-and-deliver operations, and we believe that alongside showrooms reopening next month, this multimedia campaign will help our dealer partners engage online with buyers searching now for their next car.

"We've also taken this opportunity to invest in evolving our onsite experience to help visitors find the right car with updated presentation, usability and tools. We're confident these will further support conversion of traffic into quality sales leads for our dealer partners," said Kelleher.

The campaign was created by the Brave agency, in association with D.A.R.Y.L. at Pulse Films, and is part of eBay Motors Group's continued investment and commitment to meet consumer needs and drive response for dealers.

Motors.co.uk will also be launching a new radio and digital audio partnership in May.
