Motors.co.uk championing International Women?s Day with YouTube series spotlighting women in automotive careers

  • Month-long campaign started 2 March with W Series' Cleo Collins
  • Motors.co.uk┬ásocial media campaign to focus on Breaking the Bias

Motors.co.uk is championing this year's International Women's Day with a special month-long series of YouTube interviews with prominent women in automotive careers.

The series launched on 2 March with Cleo Collins, the W Series race mechanic who has carved out a highly successful career as a technician working on cars for the all-female single-seater racing championship.

Also featured will be Hannah Fisher, senior brand marketing manager at Motors.co.uk, Hannah Gordon, owner of Spanner Tech Services and Sarah Crabtree, sales director at Evoke Classics.

The series is presented by Car Dealer's Rebecca Chaplin, who will be asking guests to share their career journeys. Coverage also includes how the industry is making changes to work-life balance and attitudes towards mental health and wellbeing.

"The motoring industry has always been male dominated - women currently only represent 20% of the automotive sector, dropping below 10% at executive levels1," said Lucy Tugby, head of B2B marketing at eBay Motors Group.

"We believe championing women in this industry is not just good for today's female employees but can inspire young girls to take this career path in the future. We are delighted to be supporting International Women's Day by highlighting just some of the career opportunities open to women and helping to #BreakTheBias," said Tugby.

The interviews will air on YouTube and be promoted across Motors.co.uk's Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.

International Women's Day is on 8 March and this year's theme is Breaking the Bias.
